Emergency Services

Clarence Community Ambulance Service, 1202 Lombard St, Clarence, IA 52216

EMS Coordinator: Kathy Robinson

The Clarence Community Ambulance Service is the primary provider for emergency medical and trauma services for the Cities of Clarence, Lowden, Massillon and the surrounding rural areas. The Paramedic level service is staffed 24 hours a day, 365 days per year, by volunteers made up of Paramedics, RNs, AEMTs, EMTs, EMRs, and Drivers. The department was created in 1976 to provide the citizens in the area a reliable and quality service for emergency pre-hospital care. At that time the service used a second-hand hearse for transporting patients. Today we use state-of-the-art life saving equipment and vehicles. The Clarence Community Ambulance averages between 220-260 emergency responses per year, and achieved Paramedic Level Service as of December 2021.

If you are interested in applying to serve on the Clarence Ambulance or have a question please contact the department at 563-452-4440.
